Singular accommodation, we are talking about an old boat used in its origin to transport raw materials in the rivers of center Europe. Is located in a property of 2,075m2 of olive trees in the small village of Valldevià, a small village of twenty houses in the top a small mountain range, in a typical inland landscape of the Empordà where traditional life has not been affected by coastal tourism. In the highest part of town we find a fifteenth century castle and next to the house a small church with Romanesque remains. The village has privileged views over the sea, mountain Canigó and the surrounding areas. It has a playground with barbecue and outer furniture. The good communication and situation of this house makes a perfect site to enjoy all the attractiveness of this region. 1km from the house we can find a municipal swimmingpool (road that goes to Colomers).

We accede to the boat from a big wood terrace (10m x 6m). In the old control room there is the kitchen with sink, 2 furnaces (gas) and one small refrigerator, next to it we have a table with a bank; from this location the stairs downwards to the inferior part where there is a double room, a bath with shower in one side and a space to relax in the other. The lodging has television and music equipment. Next to the boat there is a garden area with outdoor furniture (barbacue, chairs..) to relax and enjoy the environment.

This place is ideal for those who want to enjoy this region thanks to its location and communication. It is very close to towns with lots of charm like Girona (Jewish Quarter, Cathedral), Figueres (Toy Museum, Dali Museum), l’Escala, Banyoles or La Bisbal de l'Empordà, to a maximum of 35km. The beaches of Empúries and l'Escala (Costa Brava) are just 12 km away. You can also visit the Natural Park of Aiguamolls or Illes Medes marine reserve in l’Estartit (declared natural protected area), the greek and roman ruins of Empúries or make excursions by foot or Btt through the different paths that traverse this land of great beauty. This area is full of little cozy villages and a wide choice of food offer, from typical fish dishes to an excellent wine offer.
